ALL-NEW OUTLANDER SAFETY

The all-new OUTLANDER provides cutting-edge safety systems and passenger protection, so you can fully enjoy each drive.

MI-PILOT ASSIST

Making driving less stressful

The all-new OUTLANDER is equipped with MITSUBISHI MOTORS' next-generation driver-assist technology, called MI-PILOT Assist – it offers improved safety and convenience.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL [ACC]

Keeping a distance from the vehicle in front

ACC maintains a selected distance between your vehicle and the car ahead via radar and camera and can even automatically come to a complete stop. The Stop & Go function can automatically resume ACC from a stop, which is useful in traffic jams on highways.

LANE KEEP ASSIST [LKA]

Keeping your vehicle in lane

LKA helps keep your vehicle in your lane and prevents unintended lane departure. The onboard camera detects lane markers on both sides of the lane and uses those to guide the vehicle.

LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION [LDP]

Reduce drifting out of your lane

If your vehicle is moving across from its lane and you're not using your indicators, you’ll first be alerted by a vibrating steering wheel and a blinking light on the digital driver’s display. It will then apply the brakes to one side of the vehicle to help keep you safely in your original lane.

ACTIVE BLIND SPOT ASSIST [ABSA]

Automatically checking your blind spots

ACTIVE BLIND SPOT ASSIST [ABSA]

This system alerts you when changing lanes – it lets you know if there are other vehicles in adjacent lanes. It also helps you keep your vehicle in the center of the lane by assisting with steering and braking.

REAR AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKE [REAR AEB]

Preventing you from reversing into objects

A sonar in the rear bumper detects whether there are any obstacles, such as car park barriers. If there is anything there, you’ll get an audible warning and the brakes are automatically applied.

DRIVER ATTENTION ALERT [DAA]*

Helping to keep a watchful eye over you

If you’ve been driving for a long time, your attention span can dip. This system monitors your steering. If it detects any lack of concentration, it suggests you take a break by giving you an audible and visible warning on the dashboard.

* This feature only activates within a limited speed and specific obstacles.

TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION [TSR]

Spotting speed signs in case you miss them

Sometimes it’s easy to miss the speed limit signs as you drive along. The TSR system evaluates the speed signs through a front camera. This speed limit is then displayed on your dashboard controls – the Head up Display or the TFT meter display.

11 SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM*

Protection for everyone in the car

To keep you and your passengers safe in the event of a collision, the OUTLANDER has a best-in-class 11-airbag system. Front seat occupants are protected by front, knee, seat-mounted side & center and curtain airbags. Rear passengers by side and curtain airbags.

*Vehicle airbag specification may vary by market.

HEAD UP DISPLAY (HUD)

More ways to stay informed

A new 10.8-inch, full-color head up display (HUD) is positioned on the windshield. It means you can keep your eyes on the road ahead and get easy visibility of important notifications, such as the car's speed, distance to the car in front and customizable options for audio and navigation.

PARKING ASSIST

Reverse auto-tilt door mirrors

The door mirrors have an auto-tilt function that activates when the OUTLANDER is put in reverse. The mirror surface rotates away from the vehicle and towards the ground. It means the driver can see both the parking lines and around the vehicle at the same time, making parking much easier.

MULTI AROUND MONITOR

Moving Object Detection helps you reverse safely

The Multi-Around Monitor uses digital cameras mounted around the OUTLANDER keep an eye on those hard-to-see areas. It also creates a bird's-eye visual of the vehicle from above, helping you orientate yourself and park more safely. The Multi-Around Monitor now features Moving Object Detection, which tells you if there are any people nearby.
