IMPORTANT:

S-AWC:

• S-AWC is a driver support system that assists the driver with braking and driving operations. As with vehicles without this system, safe driving is required such as decelerating before entering a curve. The driver is always responsible for safe and attentive driving.
• MUD drive mode not available on 2WD models.
• HDC automatically applies the brakes to maintain speed when traveling downhill at 2 - 20 km/h.
• When driving on snow-covered roads, please make sure to use winter tires.

ACC: The detection and control capabilities of Adaptive Cruise Control [ACC] are supplemental only. ACC may not be activated in some situations. This system may not correctly detect the actual situation depending on the type of vehicle in front and its conditions, the weather conditions, and the road conditions. Additionally, the system may be unable to decelerate sufficiently if the vehicle in front applies the brakes suddenly or another vehicle cuts into your path, so your vehicle approaches the front vehicle.

LDP: The detection and control capabilities of Lane Departure Prevention [LDP] are supplemental only. The LDP system will not steer the vehicle or prevent loss of control. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, keep the vehicle in the traveling lane, and be in control of the vehicle at all times. The LDP system is primarily intended for use on well-developed freeways or highways. It may not detect the lane markers in certain road, weather, or driving conditions. The warning sound will only activate when MI-PILOT Assist is running (active).

LKA: Lane Keep Assist [LKA] is not a replacement for proper driving procedures and is not designed to correct careless, inattentive or absent-minded driving. LKA will not always steer the vehicle to keep it in the lane. It is not designed to prevent loss of control. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, keep the vehicle in the traveling lane, and be in control of the vehicle at all times. As there is a performance limit to the LKA’s capability, never rely solely on the system. LKA does not function in all driving, traffic, weather, and road conditions.

Always drive safely, pay attention to the operation of the vehicle, and manually control your vehicle appropriately. LKA is intended for use on well-developed highways with gentle (moderate) curves. To avoid risk of an accident, do not use this system on local or non-highway roads. LKA only steers the vehicle to maintain its position in the center of a lane. The vehicle will not steer to avoid objects in the road in front of the vehicle or to avoid a vehicle moving into your lane. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, keep the vehicle in the traveling lane, and be in control of the vehicle at all times. Never take your hands off the steering wheel when driving. Always keep your hands on the steering wheel and drive your vehicle safely. Always drive carefully and attentively when using the LKA.

ABSA: The Active Blind Spot Assist [ABSA] system is not a replacement for proper driving procedures and is not designed to prevent contact with vehicles or objects. When changing lanes, always use the side and rear mirrors and turn and look in the direction your vehicle will move to ensure it is safe to change lanes. Never rely solely on the ABSA system. There is a limitation to the detection capability of the radar. Not every moving object or vehicle will be detected. Using the ABSA system under some road, ground, lane marker, traffic or weather conditions could lead to improper system operation. Always rely on your own operation to avoid accidents.

TSR: In the following situations, Traffic Sign Recognition system [TSR] may not be able to recognize traffic signs or the displayed traffic sign information may be different from the actual information. When driving the vehicle, always check the traffic signs with your own eyes. When the traffic signs are located outside the detection area of the sensor. When visibility is poor due to bad weather, etc.

Rear AEB: The Rear Automatic Emergency Braking [Rear AEB] system is a supplemental aid to the driver. It is not a replacement for proper driving procedures. Always use the side and rear mirrors and turn and look in the direction you will move before and while backing up. Never rely solely on the Rear AEB system. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, and be always in control of the vehicle. There is a limitation to the Rear AEB system capability. The Rear AEB system is not effective in all situations.

DAA: The Driver Attention Alert [DAA] system is only a warning to inform the driver of a potential lack of driver attention or drowsiness. It will not steer the vehicle or prevent loss of control.

The DAA system does not detect and provide an alert of the driver’s lack of attention or fatigue in every situation. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, keep the vehicle in the traveling lane, be in control of the vehicle at all times, avoid driving when tired, and avoid distractions (texting, etc.).

Drivers are fully responsible for their own safe driving. Please drive safely and do not rely solely on these systems while driving.
