Mizushima XTM1

This three-wheeled cargo carrier was like a motorbike at the front and a flatbed truck at the back. It was powered by a 744cc 4-cycle single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The vehicle was 2780mm long, 1198mm wide and 1230mm high with a folding soft top and aviation technology windows.

Improvements were made through 11 prototypes and it finally went into production as the TM3A in May 1947. It represented Mitsubishi's contribution to the post-war personal transport boom and was our first standard truck to go into mass production. We continued to make small three-wheel trucks right up until 1962.
