From the original 1973
Lancer 1600 GSR- winner of numerous World Rally
Championships in Africa, Ivory Coast, and Australia, the
Lancer has progressed a long way presenting us with today’s
revolutionary Mitsubishi Lancer EX 2009.

The new benchmark for
sporting sedans, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X abandons none of
the qualities sedan fans expect. Its sporty looks adapt the
“energetic” new Mitsubishi Motors innovative design,
complimented by extensive improvements.

The revolutionarily
Evolution sports a new chassis, new engine, new exterior and
interior design, a new Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC)
vehicle dynamics control system, revamped front and rear
suspension and even a new manual transmission that shifts
automatically (Twin Clutch Sport Shift Transmission).

If looks could kill, then
the all new EVO is ready to charge with its innovative
design language that spells ‘style’ in every aspect. The
inverted-slant nose and trapezoidal grille is the highlight
of the design of the new EVO. Combined with a pair of
downwards slanting headlights, the car gives an uncanny
resemblance to that of a menacing and hungry-looking shark,
waiting to devour anything that crosses it path!!
This new Evolution comes
with a 4B11 turbocharged DOHC MIVEC 1,988 cc engine mated to
the new TC-SST which delivers power to all 4 wheels
controlled by an on-board computer software called S-AWC
(Super All Wheel Control) that monitors and controls the ACD
(Active Center Differential), AYC (Active Yaw control), ASC
(Active stability control) and ABS (Anti-lock braking) to
enhance cornering, traction and vehicle stability under all
driving conditions.
Like the recently revised
Lancer, the Evo X has a completely revamped interior with
wing-backed Recaro seats and a classy dashboard to the door
panels. Adding to its class the new Evo X also features a
Rockford Fosgate 9- speaker audio system.
With a host of
technological improvements and physical changes over the
outgoing model , Mitsubishi has effectively revolutionized
the Evolution into a car that is bigger, better and more
comfortable to be in.
Find out how Mitsubishi’s
passion for driving has created a blend of power,
performance and aerodynamics that will have sports driving
connoisseurs instantly hooked, all combined with a style
that is undeniably Lancer.
